I have been working mainly on the Traditional Danish Warp Shawl from the current Spin Off mag. In between working on it, I have been pushing out wash clothes. I can now get a wash cloth crocheted in about 2 hours even while breaking up bights between the boy brats. My Danish Wrap Shawl is done. Holy cow, I thought it would have used so much more yarn. I still have two balls left off to the side. I totally could have spun it back onto its self, but she is prettifull anyways.
Yesterday was spent with Goob at my side for the most part. Spring Break starting this week and the weather has been crap. From what I have been told, this is one of the coldest springs in forever. Goob started to get a cough like he dies every spring. Yesterday he was just acting a little off and even fell asleep when he sat next to me while I was knitting. I noticed his right ear was bright red, so I busted out the bottle of garlic oil to start fighting off any koodies that were trying to make a home in there. I then noticed how hot he was and sent another one of the bratlings to get me the ear thermometer. I took three temps in each ear and they all came back at about 104 degree. Now it was time for the children’s Motrin, Tylenol does not work on any of us. I sat down with him after dinner (and you know he is ill when he does not finish his baby corn dogs and french fries) and watch Revenge of the Sith (my ulimate fave Star Wars movie). He fell asleep right after Anakin went to the dark side. Here is a pix of my wonderful baby, red ears, nose, and all.
His fever broke some time during the night. I had him sleep with me just in case he needed more medicine. He was still a little warm, but his cough is starting to become wet, his ears are not hot anymore, and he was back to being a little mr. poopie head.
